Site Visit
Time to get on site. We can get further into your vision for the project. Pinterest and a scrapbook of things you like at this stage are a great help.
We can discuss aspects of your site like views that you may want to take advantage of.
The goal of this is to come away with a brief of what you want to achieve.
Knowing this will allow us to firm up our fees estimate and is another chance for us to get to know each other
“Good fortune is when opportunity meets planning” -Thomas Edison
03
Getting underway
We will present back to you the brief we made, what you like and what you don’t like, when you need it and a confirmation of fees.
We will present some sketches or themes of what we think you new home should be.
With fees, timelines and contracts sorted we can get underway preparing the design for your new home
“Paper isn’t important. It’s the words on them that are important” -Margeret Atwood
04
Developing the Concept
We use the latest technology to produce your concept. 3d modeling allows us to see your new home from all angles, making sure views are captured and no detail is missed.
Her we require lots of feed back from you as beyond everything this is your home.
“Design is not just what it looks like and feels like. Design is how it works” -Steve Jobs
05
Confirming the Concept
This is the stage where we confirm the concept with you. We will present the concept to you and discuss any changes you may want to make.
Importantly the asumptions around pricing of the build will need to be verified. We want to makes sure that the concept is within your budget. If this is not done before the next stage it can be costly to make changes and can delay the project.
“Price is what you pay. Value is what you get” -Warren Buffett

Resource Consents if required
Not every job requires a resource consent. If you do need one we can help you through the process.
The fastest way to get a consent is to have a well thought out design that meets the rules. However sometimes the advantages of a design out weigh the disadvantages of a resource consent.
Before we start we will let you know if you need a resource consent and what the process will be and fees required. The risks of a resource consent will be clearly explained.
“It takes less time to do things right than to explain why you did it wrong” -Henry Longfellow

Building Consent
Preparation Of the building consent drawings begins now. This is a busy time where we need to work in with consultants and engineers. We incorparate these into our drawing to make the consenting process as easy as possible.
Prior to submition to council the drawings, specifications and documentation will already have gon through our own strngent checks.
